If you read The Great Gatsby and liked the setting and the general vibe of the story but didn't connect with the characters, then we have a treat you. Instead of the male main characters in TGG, here we have female witches who throw lavish parties on a magical island off the coast of England. A purple light calls those who need help to the house where bargains are made and magical liquor is consumed. This is a book about being true to yourself, female friendships, and what happens when bargains are not fulfilled. Surprising no one it's never a good thing.
