As the extended holiday weekend for some unfolds, a rainstorm threatens to soak some outdoor plans in the southern United States. Thunderstorms will erupt as well and some may be severe.
Also, multiple storms will spin southward along the Pacific Coast of the United States next week. Each storm will bring abundant rain and mountain snow and cause significant impacts on travel and the potential for flooding and mudslides. Parts of the West are in desperate need of moisture
