The first potent storm of the autumn and winter season for British Columbia and part of Washington will be a doozy with enough rain to cause flash flooding and cause travel issues, AccuWeather meteorologists warn; Also, a lack of rain has been running long in the mid-Atlantic and is setting records in at least one state so far. The dry weather may extend opportunities for fall leaf-viewing.
