Gary DeHart hosted John Hewitt on the Accounting Insiders Podcast John founded Jackson Hewitt and sold it in 1997 when it had approximately 6,000 locations. The next year he started Liberty Tax and grew it to approximately 4,000 locations. He was named the IFAI Entrepreneur of the Year in 2005; Was named a Top 100 Most Influential person by Accounting Today for 12 years in a row and is the best selling author of iCompete, a book in which he shares his successes along with his failures and challenges in growing franchise organizations.
