Get ready for a legendary tale of mind-bending monster madness!
Flying saucers, a winged beast, and a fallen bridge. From 1966 to 1967, a series of bizarre occurrences plagued the sleepy town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Rumors of a man-shaped monster with massive wings and glowing red eyes spread across town, and eventually, the country.
The so-called "MOTHMAN" sparked national media attention as thousands flocked to Point Pleasant to take part in the paranormal sightseeing. Meanwhile, an unexplained surge in UFO sightings across the region proved that mothmen weren't the only aerial oddities in town.
The Mothman's 13-month reign of terror left the residents of Point Pleasant with a lifetime supply of questions. Who, or what, was the Mothman? Where did he go? Could this urban legend be an epic hoax? This week we ponder these questions and more in our first two-part topic!
