Part 2 | A city or place you would like to live in

Describe a city or place you would like to live in. You should say -where it is -what it is famous for -and explain why you would like to live there. I feel that I am very fortunate because I have traveled to a number of beautiful cities around the world. However, I have never actually been to the place where I would like to live and yet I am certain I would fall in love with it. The city where I would like to live in the future is New York. New York is a city on the east coast of the United States. The city comprises several boroughs, but ideally I would like to live in Manhattan. This island is famous for many things and by many is considered to be the centre of the world. It is called the ultimate melting pot, bringing together people of all races, religions and all corners of the world. It also has towering skyscrapers so tall that one feels dwarfed by their magnitude. Its most famous skyscrapers are the Empire State Building and of course the Twin Towers, which fell in 2001 but have since been rebuilt. There is a mythical aura about this city. There have been movies made about it, songs written about it, and even Frank Sinatra sang about it, saying, "If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere." It is this energy that makes me want to live there one day. The idea of living in the city that never sleeps fills me with the hope of endless possibilities, that anything can be achieved in a place like that. So, even though I have only seen it movies and read about it, I am certain that a place like this would energise me, motivate me and fulfil me like no other place in the world.
