A desperate US search and rescue operation is reportedly underway after an American fighter was jet shot down in Iran. US media is reporting one crew member has been rescued after the fighter jet was shot down in southwest Iran. The aircraft is believed to be an F15E, a two-crew member jet. The Pentagon and US Central Command have not yet publicly commented on the incident. Since the war began, 13 US military service members have been killed. Israel has pounded Lebanon's capital Beirut with airstrikes that the military says targeted militant "infrastructure". The attack came after the Israeli military told residents to leave seven neighbourhoods in the southern suburbs, warning of impending strikes. There are concerns billions of litres of fuel bound for Australia may do little to ease pressure, as shortages continue to spread nationwide. Hundreds of service stations have already run out of diesel or petrol and despite billions of litres on the way. Industry leaders say recent delays and cancellations highlight how fragile Australia's fuel network is, and warn demand is still outpacing supply. But energy Minister Chris Bowen insists his government has secured supply from diverse sources. SA police say a seven-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after an all terrain vehicle rollover at Yattalunga north-east of Adelaide. Police say the girl was a passenger on the quad bike that rolled in a paddock on a private property. Astronauts on NASA's Artemis Two mission have captured their first images of Earth as they head toward the Moon. NASA has released photos taken from the Orion capsule, showing a curved slice of Earth and the full globe covered in swirling clouds.
