Police have arrested a man and a woman as they continue their investigation into the movements of police killer Dezi Freeman. Police say they are associates of Freeman and not family members. The arrests were made at two properties in north east Victoria. They will now be interviewed by police. Officials in the United States say US forces are still searching for a pilot after two American warplanes were downed over Iran and the Gulf. The U-S and Iran say two pilots were rescued by US forces… but a third is still missing and Iran says its troops are hunting for them. The first plane, a two-seat F-15 jet, was shot down by Iranian fire, while the second, an A-10 Warthog fighter aircraft, was also hit by Iranian fire and crashed over Kuwait, with the pilot ejecting. The incidents come despite assertions from US President Donald Trump and his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth that US forces have total control of the skies over Iran. Federal Energy Minister Chris Bowen has confirmed fuel from the US, Mexico and other countries is in transit to Australia. The country has traditionally sourced most of its fuel from Asia. Mr Bowen says more than 50 ships are on their way and maintains six cancelled orders have been replaced with extra cargo. But industry leaders say Australia's reliance on imports leaves it exposed to ongoing global disruptions. And as Daylight Savings comes to an end tonight, firefighting authorities are reminding people that smoke alarms need to be completely replaced about every 10 years. Clocks will go back by one hour overnight tonight as the nation heads towards the cooler months, and Adelaide Metropolitan Fire Service says is a good time to ensure smoke alarms are working properly and cleaned regularly.
