Show Notes
College basketball took center stage this weekend and Aaron Torres is here to recap it all. From North Carolina losing Cole Anthony and to Wofford, to Gonzaga and Memphis picking up big wins, and Kentucky finally playing a power opponent, Aaron recaps it all. He also tells you how you can meet him next weekend in Las Vegas for the CBS Sports Classic. Here's a rundown of today's show:
North Carolina Loses Cole Anthony - Could they Miss the NCAA Tourney Too?? Aaron opens the show by discussing the shocking news that Cole Anthony is out with a knee injury (7:00). The Tar Heels took the court without him on Sunday and proceeded to lose to Wofford, and Aaron wonders: If he doesn't come back soon, will they miss the NCAA Tournament too. He also hits on Sunday's other big game where Ohio State lost to Minnesota, and Aaron explains why he isn't too worried.
Gonzaga and Memphis Impress on Saturday: Next, Aaron goes back to Saturday, where he discusses Gonzaga's win over Arizona (17:00) and why it's time to appreciate just how good this program is. Aaron says it's also time to respect Penny Hardaway after the Memphis Tigers went to Tennessee and got a victory (30:00) over the Vols, even without their two best players. Finally he wraps by talking Kentucky's win over Georgia Tech (40:00). It wasn't a monumenal victory, but an important one, as Kentucky gets set for a big two weeks ahead.
