Show Notes
It's Monday, the big news keeps rolling in and Aaron reacts to it all on this edition of the Aaron Torres Podcast. Aaron opens the show by discussing the outbreak of COVID-19 at Clemson and what you need to know, before transitioning to Ohio State and Alabama scheduling a home and home. Then he discusses Bill Self's bizarre attempt to sue the NCAA, and how new NBA Draft rules could impact Kentucky's Olivier Sarr. Let's get to the rundown of today's show.
Clemson Football and Covid: Aaron opens the show by discussing the scary headline that 23 players tested positive for Covid at Clemson (4:30). He explains that, while scary, if you stick to the facts, we could have seen this coming. Also, why players getting sick on campus is not the worst thing. He then transitions to Alabama and Ohio State scheduling a home and home football series - and why he believes there is a bigger story with those two games that no one is talking about (22:00).
College Hoops News and Notes: Bill Self is at it again. He is apparently ready to sue the NCAA, a move that Aaron calls ridiculous and doesn't fully understand (32:00). And finally he talks about the NBA adjusting their draft deadline because of Covid which will actually allow them to re-enter the NBA Draft. While there was some trepidation early, Aaron explains why he doesn't believe it will impact Kentucky's Olivier Sarr or college basketball in general (41:30).
