A Place to Grow

The only person you need to be pleasing is God. In today’s world, it means too much to many people to get the nod of assent from those around them. However, God’s people have been put down and persecuted through the years and may even have happened to you as well. This is part of the destiny God has planned for your life.

In Genesis 41, Pharaoh tells Joseph the interpretation of his dream by God’s divine power and advises Pharaoh on the plan he should execute to avoid the negative effects of the seven-year famine. The story of Joseph reveals how God can put us in leadership to save lives as we carry out our prophetic purpose.

God still speaks to us in dreams today. Dreams from God are prophetic in nature and they speak to us about the future. God talked to Joseph in a dream about his purpose. The enemy will use people to destroy your purpose—like Joseph’s brothers who resented his purpose, others may be tools of the enemy to deter you from your purpose.

Ephesians 4:12 tells us that the role of the pastor is to equip and prepare you for the role of your ministry. Church is not a place to merely sit in a pew and support the pastor’s vision and purpose. His job is to prepare you to do the work of ministry yourself.

The focus of this ministry is to assist people to understand and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. We want you to connect the dots to help you reveal God’s call on your life. Millions live in frustration today because they have no clues as to why they exist. Together we’ll solve the puzzle of your purpose.

We fight against the enemy with our praise. Jesus said pray and ask for anything in his name—prayer is a weapon against the enemy. Today we will review prayer and the other weapons of our praise warfare.

We spend time talking about spiritual warfare because we are in the last days and the devil is on the attack. Scripture tells us some will turn away from the true faith and follow deceptive teachings that come from demons. We must be on our guard because the gospel is a gospel of righteousness.

Many visions die because people seek success apart form God’s divine purpose and plan for their lives. We’re talking about your divine design. Vision is not chance, random, or accidental. God has a unique and specific plan for your life that brings you success.

God speaks to us through visions and dreams. He has placed within each of us a vision to give purpose and direction in life. He speaks through dreams to confirm a destiny. In Numbers 12:6, God said, “I the Lord will make myself known in a vision.”

Stop relying on the approval of others to fulfill your destiny. Joseph’s second dream, which foretold that his parents as well as his siblings would bow before him, was stronger because he still needed convincing that his destiny would include the level of authority that it eventually would.

Today we’ll talk about discovering your destiny though dreams and a vision. Most people cannot tell you what their destiny is because they don’t have vision for their lives. They have been made blind by Satan through unbelief. But God has commissioned us to be witnesses to those around us.

What is your spiritual gift? It’s what you do well, what you’re good at. Some have the gift to preach because we jokingly might say they can talk all day and never get tired. That’s a gift. We’ll discover more examples of how you can discover your spiritual gifting from God through the Holy Spirit.

Roman 14:10 says, “We shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.” We will all give an account of how we spent our time here on earth. Jesus said in John 16:13, When the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. While the Holy Spirit does reveal all truth, we have to wonder if we are really following the truth revealed to us.

As leaders, we often want people to love and accept us and tell us we’re okay. But, when fulfilling our divine destiny, we need to only seek God’s acceptance. Leaders for God often come up against the people’s opinion and that is part of the reality of fulfilling God’s plan. We may grow weary of the opposition we experience but no one can stop God’s plan from coming to pass except our own weariness and discouragement.

Have you ever participated in a meeting where everyone acknowledged you had the best ideas in the room and then your boss said, “You’re in charge of the project”? God will put you in charge to fulfill a divine plan and we need to realize that He is the one who places us in leadership roles.

Sometimes we wonder, because of our circumstances, what God is doing. A young Jewish woman named Esther was chosen to be the king’s wife and she questioned why. But God had chosen her “for such a time as this,” words that motivated her to act because they solved the puzzle of the purpose for her life.

God knows everything, including the intentions of our heart. He knows what’s on our minds, whatever that may be. We need to judge ourselves and remember that God is a holy God. He wants us to walk in purity in our relationships.

What is a soul tie? A soul tie is one of the most powerful influences that govern relationships. It is the emotional knitting together of two or more people in a relationship and the influence they have over each other’s lives.

For us to understand how God desires to guide us in relationships, we must understand the principle of soul ties. We are all in relationships so it’s important for us to understand how those relationships influence us within God’s plan for our lives.

Ananias and Sapphira kept some of that money back based on the shared secret they kept. You can’t hide anything you do from the Holy Spirit.

1 Samuel 18 says that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David and he loved David as much as he loved his own soul. One of the most powerful influences is a soul tie, the knitting of two souls together and the influence they have on each other.

The Holy Spirit will only conform to what the word of God says. Anything not in Scripture is not from God. You might hear something from the spirit realm but it has to add up with what the Bible says. Jesus said in John 17:17, sanctify them with truth, your word is truth. When we are offended by another person, we want to flee and have nothing to do with them. However, this isn’t true forgiveness.

In Ephesians 6:11, it says put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We are all engaged in a spiritual battle today against the devil’s desire to keep us from fulfilling God’s plan for our lives. The devil’s major attack us through our mind.

King David said in the Psalms that promotion neither comes from the east, west, north or south. God judges our service—David was so devoted to God, he was constantly having communion with God through the Holy Spirit and that was the source of his promotion.

We achieve spiritual breakthrough that results in blessing and promotion through serving God. This is your breakthrough season so don’t bury your gift.

God has ordained seasons in our lives. Today I want to help you recognize when the new seasons God has brought you into have begun. Often, our experiences repeat because God has established creation on a cycle.

In John 16:13, Jesus said, “When he, the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.” The Holy Spirit has come to reveal the truth to us, God’s children. And part of that truth is understanding how powerful thanksgiving and praise is

We need to humble ourselves like God wants us to. It’s not about humbling ourselves insincerely. We need to be honest with God about the choices we have made in self-will that have determined our present circumstances.

God will get you to where you’re supposed to be any way that it takes. Joseph suffered betrayal, injustice, and humiliation but his gifts kept bringing him promotion regardless of his circumstances. Your gifts will guide you to your destiny.

God has assigned to every person a mission and a purpose in life. He has a plan for your life that was established even before you were born.

You were placed during this period in history to be a witness of God's salvation and supernatural power before the world. We were born in a prophetic time.
