If you've experienced success in your life, then there are people around you who've helped you along the way. It's a requisite for success.
Why? Because we all stand on the shoulders of other people. Those who've contributed to our achievement in some way. Through their words. Encouragement. Example. Wisdom. Time. Money. Faith. Prayers.
Think of some of those people in your life. Ones who guided you to seasons in which you flourished. Maybe they were your parents. Coaches. Teachers. Coworkers. Friends. Siblings. The list goes on and on.
Scripture commands the practice of thanksgiving. "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Giving thanks to others requires your appreciation to be made known.
For those who have steered you toward prosperous seasons of life, take a moment today and call, text, email, or write. Simply say, "Thank you. I am who I am today partly because of you." The means of your communication doesn't matter. It's your words of thanksgiving that do.
We all stand on the shoulders of other people.
Let's make sure we say thank you to them.
