Charlotte Aufden-Brinke, co-owner of Dan's Restaurant and Tap House in Boonsboro, Maryland joined A Miner Detail Detail Podcast host Ryan Miner on Monday, June 22, 2020.
Dan's Restaurant and Tap House was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 shutdown in Maryland. But Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot's office stepped in to help. Charlotte tells that story on A Miner Detail Podcast.
In the aftermath of George Floyd's death, the Black Lives Matter movement took national prominence, staging protests around the country, forcing our nation to confront racial issues head-on.
Dan's Restaurant and Tap House stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Charlotte opens up about how the restaurant has been targeted since leading a peaceful protest in the cultural conservative bastion that is Washington County.
