Susan, otherwise known as SusansNextChapter on Instagram is a wife and mother of three and has faced the toughest battle of her life. Susan was diagnosed with bowel cancer over a year ago after being misdiagnosed with an appendix problem, she was in pain and knew there was something more sinister going on and like many women advocated for further investigations. Susan was fitted with a stoma bag and has since undergone surgery and chemotherapy, more recently Susan has been told her cancer is at stage 4 and that she will not be having a stoma reversal as she had hoped. At this point in her illness Susan wants to bring to light the difficulties surrounding bowel cancer and the lack of awareness.
