Show Notes
While the 1983 World Cup was the big turning point in Indian cricket, the win in
the 2011 World Cup also remains particularly special for a certain generation that had grown up hearing stories about the triumph of Kapil Dev’s men but hadn’t seen their superstars lift a trophy. Unlike ‘83, this team began the tournament as favorites and went on to give Sachin Tendulkar his first World Cup trophy at the age of 38. Watch Cyrus talk about everything related to the memorable home World Cup on this episode of A Century of Stories: Cricket podcast presented by IDFC FIRST Bank.
