They went after opponents of the cult, killing an anti-cult lawyer and his family. The cult would attack anyone who dared to leave, anyone who dared to question them.
But that wasn't enough.
Aum Shinrikyo would execute one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in Japan. They were going to release a deadly nerve agent into the Tokyo subway during rush hour, Monday morning.
