Mohan Kumar had two wives, and neither of them suspected that he was still propositioning other women. It was clear they would have felt betrayed if they knew he was promising to marry these women, even without a dowry.
He would meet his unsuspecting victim, spend a few days together, and sometimes have sex. Before they parted, he would give her a pill, telling her it was birth control. It was his poison of choice - cyanide.
