Finally, were are arriving at the truth behind the unsettling ghostly happenings at Bly Manor! And, it's about time, as this is the second to last part of this spooky "Turn of the Screw" series! Get comfy and cozy for this spooky calm reading of Henry James' "The Turn of the Screw!" (Part 8!)
Good evening friends, fiends, and ghostly night owl supremes! Welcome back for the ghost story behind "The Haunting of Bly Manor" - "The Turn of the Screw" Part 8 (Chapters 21 and 22!) Tonight Mrs. Grose reveals that she, ALL ALONG, had proof of Miss Jessel’s interfering with Flora. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SUPER HELPFUL THIS WHOLE TIME!? Anyway, the governess decides that the best thing to do would be to get Flora out of Bly and to her uncle in London. She worries the letter she sent will arrive before them, but then Mrs. Grose also tells her that the letter was never sent, because she things Miles stole it. Wow. Who would have guessed?! Governess just kinda left it out on a table and ran off. Sheesh. Flora and Mrs. Grose head out for London the following morning, leaving Miles and the governess alone for a very silent and awkward dinner. Her comparison is really an odd one? She likens it to a newly wed couple taking meals at an inn on their honeymoon or something like that. Like, either party is too embarrassed to talk to the other in front of the attendants? Anyway, we left off Just as she and Miles were about to have the whole thing out! This tale, Henry James' "The Turn of the Screw," is read in a soft voice and set to some light and eerie background music. I do hope you enjoy this evening's ghost story!
Tonight's Story Behind Bly Manor Part 8 is from the following chapters:
The Turn of the Screw, Chapter 21: 1:34
