Good evening friends, fiends, and night owl supremes! Welcome back for Part 3 of the Story behind "The Haunting of Bly Manor" - "The Turn of the Screw" Part 3 (Chapters 6, 7, and 8!) Tonight we learn so much more about the dead dread spectre, Peter Quint. The governess also has an encounter with a new spectre - Miss Jessel - while playing with little Flora at the pond. She has the startling revelation that both Miles and Flora, despite their attempts to feign ignorance, actually perfectly remember their dealings with the late rascal Peter Quint and the deceased Miss Jessel. (She had been hoping they had magically had their memories of them wiped or something?) and now realizes that the two children are trying to protect her from the ghostly beings as she thinks she is protecting them! Mrs. Grouse is FINALLY more forth-coming with information. Sheesh. Took long enough! Could have saved the governess a lot of heartache and suffering! This tale, Henry James'' "The Turn of the Screw," is read in a soft voice and set to some light and eerie background music. I do hope you enjoy the this evening's ghost story story!
