Show Notes

Hosts and PTSI Resilience Trainers John Salerno and Samantha Horwitz talk with Vincent Scotto, retired NYPD on @A Badge of Honor TV.

After a 20 year career with the NYPD, Vincent moved on thinking the transition would be easy. He found it to be just the opposite. Vince engaged in  “soul searching” to uncover his priorities which left a lot of time to ponder the emotional, physical, and psychological scars that were left untreated. "You can put on a uniform, bullet-resistant vest, gun belt, and shield, but it does not make you invincible."

So, how do we take a proactive approach in hopes of preventing the “self-destructive” behavior that often follows?  Vince learned by listening without judgement, showing compassion, as well as providing clarity, he was able to help himself uncover his voice and path for growth increasing his well being and ultimate "self-worth" and now he helps others do the same.
