This week on 9XM SoundcastE, host Eva Bhatt is joined by Nikhita Gandhi - the multi-talented singer, lyricist, composer who has sung in multiple languages. Her Bollywood debut song was the sensational ‘Raabta’ featuring Deepika Padukone, and has lent her voice to some of the famous songs like ‘Qaafirana’ (Kedarnath), ‘Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe’ (Stree) & ‘Sanedo’ (Made in China).
She talks about her Bengali-Punjabi roots (‘Benjabi’), her journey from studying Dentistry in Chennai to singing for A.R. Rahman, to releasing her English singles. Nikhita also talks in detail about the importance of technicians like the Sound engineers, the usage of ‘Auto tune’ & plug-ins and her experience of working in the South Indian music industry v/s Bollywood.
