Bossie is a spayed five year female cat, and she’s also micro-chipped. Bossie’s previous owner released her to us because of an impending move. Bossie is a shy girl until she gets to know you. Then, she becomes very affectionate and sits in your lap and gives you sweet “head butts” in appreciation. Because she is somewhat shy, Bossie would be more comfortable in a quiet home with no children. This is Melody. She came to Animal Aid with a crushed tail and two male kittens. Both of Melody’s boys are in a wonderful home and she is now looking for her own forever home. Melody has recovered from the surgery to remove most of her tail, leaving a small nub. She has been spayed and received her vaccinations. Melody has come out of her shell and is proving to be a sweet, affectionate girl. She is good with other cats and dogs, and has been around young children. Melody is quiet and a bit shy, but loves to show her belly for pets. Jason is a five year old male Fox Terrier Mix. He ended up in a kill-shelter after being found as an unclaimed stray. Jason is searching for a quiet home with someone who is around to spend plenty of time with him. He bonds quickly with people and follows closely behind the members of his foster home. It is clear that Jason has had a rough life. He is looking for a patient person who will allow time for trust to grow. We recommend a home with adults only and no other pets. It’s Furry Friends Friday with Stella at Berrien County Animal Control – Berrien County Government, brought to you by The Mason Jar Cafe! Stella is a 1-2 year old terrier mix, weighing 46 pounds. Stella enjoys zooming around the play yard on sunny days, and there are certain dogs here at the shelter whom she likes to romp around with. Stella would not do well in a home with cats. Sassy is an energetic one year old who loves walks, running, and playing with children and other dogs. She is a free feeder and loves to cuddle. Bootsy, an American Terrier, will put your world on TILT! What this adorable, goofy 3-5 yr old lacks in brains, he makes up for with heart. Bootsy is guaranteed to make you smile! Miso is a young female kitten who was rescued by Animal Aid of SW Michigan. She was living with her siblings under a mobile home. Her weight corresponds with being 7 to 8 weeks old. Luna is a female mixed breed dog, estimated to be one year old. We believe that Luna could be a Labrador Retriever-Pit Bull Terrier mix. She was found hiding in the bushes along the River Valley bike trail. Luna was quite frightened and malnourished, but her loving and trusting personality allowed her to be easily rescued. Luna is well-mannered, playful, and loves to meet new people. She is athletic and loves to chase toys outside. Luna is also intelligent, and her natural listening skills make it easy for her to learn. She gets along well with the cats in her foster home, and has developed a special friendship with one of the cats. Boo, Ghost, and Goblin, are the most adorable ‘spooky’ kittens you’ll ever see and they’re ready to find their new forever homes! These spooky little kittens are about seven weeks old. At first, these young kittens are timid when it comes to new surroundings. However, once comfortable they are ready to cause mischief! Ghost, with his long hair, enjoys curling up to watch his siblings from a distance before sneaking up on them. Goblin is the adventurous kitten, looking to pounce on his siblings or any toy nearby. Boo is a bit shy and gave us quite a fright when we discovered she has a bobtail. They are bound to ‘haunt’ your thoughts with their undeniable cuteness!
