Tropical Cyclone Narrelle has re-formed off Western Australia's north and is tracking roughly parallel to the Pilbara coast. The Category 1 storm is expected to intensify to at least Category 3 over Carnarvon and Geraldton by the weekend. Perth is on high alert for gale force winds and up to 100 millimetres of rain by the end of the week.
