Donald Trump delivered his first formal address since the war on Iran began, criticising US allies for not protecting the Strait of Hormuz oil passage and urging them to take independent action. Five weeks into the conflict, the president claimed America's mission is nearing completion but provided no new details on ending the war. Trump expressed frustration that only the US and Israel acted against Iran's nuclear weapons threat, whilst European capitals now sit within range of Iranian missiles.
