President Donald Trump has criticised Pope Leo XIV via Truth Social following the Pontiff's remarks about the US war with Iran. Trump called the Pope 'weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy', stated he prefers the Pope's brother, and suggested the US-born pontiff should concentrate on religious duties rather than political commentary.
