Two trucks collided on the Princes Freeway at Officer just after midday, resulting in a complex rescue operation that took more than three hours. The driver of the first truck was freed and transported to the Alfred Hospital with critical injuries, while the second driver escaped without injury. The crash caused a spill from a tanker and resulted in the closure of all outbound lanes from O'Shea Road, creating significant traffic delays in Melbourne's southeast.
