Show Notes
Sydney's Southwest Metro has passed the halfway point of testing on the converted Bankstown line, with over 15,000 of 30,000 testing kilometres completed. Trains are being tested up to 22 hours a day to ensure seamless integration of trains, platform doors, gap fillers and station systems. The new metro will run every four minutes during peak times, carrying 18,000 passengers per hour and cutting travel time from Bankstown to Central to 28 minutes, halving the previous journey time.
