A skeleton discovered beneath a Dutch church may be the remains of Charles de Batz-Castelmore, the real-life 17th-century French musketeer who inspired the fictional character D'Artagnan in The Three Musketeers. The soldier was killed in battle in 1673, and scientists are planning DNA tests to confirm the identity of the remains found in the Netherlands.
