Monash University researchers tested over 1,500 people with recorded penicillin allergies by administering a test dose of the medicine, finding that 95 per cent were not actually allergic. The study demonstrates that patients can safely remove their penicillin allergy label through a simple oral test dose. This breakthrough research has significant implications for global patient treatment protocols.
