The war in the Middle East is already putting family budgets under pressure but we're being warned it's only going to get worse. The real inflation rate is likely much higher than today's official figure, which was taken before the war began. There is a silver lining: borrowers may be spared another interest rate hike because drivers are already copping it at the pump.
