A 52-year-old Mount Compass man was allegedly stabbed in the back at Maiponga footy oval following a road rage incident. The victim sought help at the oval moments before football trials were due to begin and was airlifted to hospital in serious condition. A 27-year-old Maiponga man has been charged with assault causing harm, denied police bail, and will face court.
