Iran's parliamentary speaker has issued a warning that Iranian forces will attack American troops if they enter the country, accusing the US of planning a ground assault while publicly offering diplomatic solutions. Israel has announced an expansion of its ground operation in Lebanon to push back threats from its border, as Pakistan hosts foreign ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey for peace talks. Tehran has rejected the current US-proposed peace plan, and neither Iran nor the US attended the diplomatic discussions.
