Iran has rejected a 15-point ceasefire plan proposed by the United States, calling it excessive and out of touch. The US proposal included provisions preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting sanctions, while Iran's counteroffer demands payment for war damages and internationally recognised control over the Strait of Hormuz. Despite Pakistan serving as a mediator between the two nations, hostilities continue with Iranian strikes on Israeli infrastructure and Israeli operations targeting Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
