A single-storey house in Hallam, south-east Melbourne, was completely destroyed by fire at approximately 4.30am. A female resident evacuated safely without injury, while neighbouring residents were advised to remain indoors due to potential asbestos concerns. The cause of the intense blaze on Charles Avenue, near the South Gippsland Freeway, remains under investigation.
