Adriana Rivas, a 72-year-old former Bondi nanny, has lost her final appeal against extradition to Chile after seven years in custody. She is accused of involvement in the kidnapping, interrogation and disappearance of seven people under the Pinochet regime in the 1970s, charges she strongly denies. The Federal Court dismissed her appeal, with Justice Lee finding no error of law, making this one of the longest-running extradition requests in Australian history.
