A Swedish study has found that prenatal exposure to PFAS (forever chemicals) through contaminated drinking water increases the risk of childhood asthma by 40 per cent. The research focused on mothers who unknowingly consumed water contaminated by firefighting foam and other sources of forever chemicals during pregnancy. Children born to these mothers showed a significantly higher likelihood of developing asthma.
