A Swedish study has found that prenatal exposure to PFAS (forever chemicals) through contaminated drinking water increases the risk of childhood asthma by 40 per cent. The research examined children whose mothers unknowingly consumed water contaminated by firefighting foam during pregnancy. The findings establish a link between high levels of forever chemicals and the development of asthma in children.
