Show Notes
Australia's freight industry is transitioning from diesel to electric trucks, with a major Canberra conference called Freight Forward addressing the shift. Electric trucks are now capable of long-distance hauls, demonstrated by a recent 460-kilometre zero-emissions delivery from Sydney to Canberra. The push comes as businesses warn of imminent price increases on groceries and other goods due to the fuel crisis, with three in four trucks capable of going electric if charging infrastructure and cost gaps are addressed.
