Dezi Freeman's body has been formally identified by a coroner after he was shot more than 20 times at a Thologolong property, ending Australia's biggest manhunt. Police tracked the movements of a car belonging to a close family friend of Freeman, with intelligence emerging in February during a second major search of Paw Paw in which ballistics testing was conducted. The property, located 100 kilometres from Paw Paw on the New South Wales border, remains under police lockdown as forensic investigations continue ahead of a coronial inquest.
