An electric prime mover has completed Australia's first zero-emissions freight delivery between Sydney and Canberra, covering 460 kilometres while carrying consumer goods. The electric truck cut energy costs by 84 per cent and completed the journey 25 minutes faster than a traditional diesel truck. A Central Coast company is now converting commercial fleets to battery power, citing cost and speed advantages.
