Show Notes

Four astronauts aboard NASA's Orion spacecraft are returning to Earth after a historic mission around the Moon as part of the Artemis II programme. Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen travelled over 250,000 miles from Earth, breaking distance records and conducting critical observations for future lunar bases and Mars missions. The crew faces a challenging re-entry through Earth's atmosphere at over 40,000 kilometres per hour with temperatures exceeding 2,500 degrees Celsius, with splashdown scheduled for 10am Australian Eastern Time.
