Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is travelling to Singapore and Malaysia to secure bilateral fuel security agreements with Australia's critical fuel suppliers. The government has activated new fuel security powers, providing support to Ampol's Lytton refinery and Viva's Geelong refinery to purchase additional oil shipments on the spot market. Singapore supplies 55% of Australia's petrol and 15% of its diesel, while Australia provides Singapore with significant LNG supplies in a mutually beneficial arrangement.
