In what was to be a quick filler episode for this "30 Days of Podcasting" we are doing, quickly turned into one of the funniest things we've put out on the interwebs since launching! The Plot. Talk Cartoons. If you'll remember a few episodes back, we talked The 50 Greatest Cartoons! Well, it took so long that we skiped #30-#10. In this episode, Oz and I geek the "F" out! It appears as if Peter Parker is out...and Otto Octavius is in! A Bolder, Better...Superior Spider-Man? What do you think? We talk about Marvel and most notably writer Dan Slott and how he took a stagnant yet beloved character and injected some new life into a book that we, maybe, didn't notice needed it. We have a very hard time though...not comparing this new bad ass (Dark Knight) version of Spider-man to a certain Detective. Slott writes Doc Ock-Spidey as cold and calculating, and he's a bit of a bastard...but I think most people who've given this new version of Spidey a try will be hard pressed not to like what they're reading. Look, we all know that Peter Parker IS Spider-Man and he probably will be again, but this is a great story so far...If you haven't given it a read yet then listen to what we have to say about it. A few weeks back I fielded questions from YOU the listening audience. I finally tied my wife to a chair and had her "geekout" with McBlizzard and I for almost an hour. Full disclosure...it was much longer than an hour but we had some sound issues that forced me to cut a chunk out of the middle. The first 10 minutes are a little quiet on McBlizzards mic as well as the Angry Midgets...but we fix that issue real quick! Bare with the first few minutes and take a peek inside my life. In this Episode the A-team is back! We take a call from TK1 who's supposed to be out camping...he's actually sitting on the beach getting all romantic about the moon and sky. "There's a sliver of pink..." WTF!!!! Ginger and McBlizzard talk movies...Ginger gets pissed off and goes on a rant about The Expendables. Mostly he's pissed off at how cheesy and over the top/god awful the dialogue is in The Expendables 2. The Angry Ginger and TK1 chat about movies in this episode!
