Show overview
50to70 has been publishing since 2024, and across the 2 years since has built a catalogue of 97 episodes. That works out to roughly 95 hours of audio in total. Releases follow a weekly cadence, with the show now in its 10th season.
Episodes typically run thirty-five to sixty minutes — most land between 51 min and 1h 7m — and the run-time is fairly consistent across the catalogue. The publisher flags most episodes as explicit, so expect adult themes or strong language throughout. It is catalogued as a EN-IE-language Leisure show.
The show is actively publishing — the most recent episode landed 5 days ago, with 21 episodes already out so far this year. The busiest year was 2025, with 51 episodes published. Published by 50to70.com.

ESome tech issues this week means that the show sounds slightly different, but don't worry, we're still talking the same nonsense. That includes why Dublin City Council clearly hates Dublin city, strange special editions and how Bugatti's owner is rolling out robotaxis in Croatia. Need a coffee fix? S1 Ep 89Doppio 2: Lamborghini Estoque
EThe Lamborghini Estoque was a concept that sadly never made it to production. However, it warrants further examination because upon reflection it was a car that design-wise was far ahead of its time. Looking at it today, the Estoque could still turn heads, yet this four-door, front-engined Lambo predates the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide. Need a coffee fix? S9 Ep 85EP84: Colin Harmon on Saabs, cupholders, writing books and so much more
EDave and Cormac are also joined in the studio by Colin Harmon, founder of 3FE, to plot what his next car might be. Sadly, it’s not likely to be the Cadillac Cien, but that won’t stop Cormac from telling us all about the mid-engined supercar concept that was powered by a 7.5-litre V12 engine. Yum. Remember the Saab Night Panel? This innovative dashboard made driving at night safer by showing the driver less. Only the absolute essentials appeared, with everything else unlit. It would be very welcome in today’s era of massive touchscreen and digital instrument displays. Saab was also the first to introduce both heated and ventilated seats to a passenger car. There were more halo Ferraris than you could shake a stick at plus some incredible Citroen concept cars from the past alongside one very new one. We run through some of the idiosyncrasies of France's Presidential cars with DS and celebrate the Peugeot GTI family. Oh, and a Bugatti train, anyone? Speaking of enormous quad-turbo engines, we delve into the rather wonderful and oft-forgotten 2004 Chrysler ME412. Need a coffee fix? What are the disaster stories that have helped shape your love of cars? Was the Tata Nano a game-changer or something that should be consigned to history and never spoken of again? Need a coffee fix? S9 Ep 80EP80: WTF is a BMW Vixen? 2026 F1 preview & more
EOn this week's podcast, Cormac lifts the lid on the Vixen 21, a BMW-powered motorhome from the late 1980s penned by DeLorean co-creator Bill Collins. The innovative design seemed quite futuristic at the time, but, like many such things, it was ultimately a sales failure. And ahead of the new F1 season kicking off, Dave does his best to explain what’s new, who’s driving what and how different things will be for 2026. Need a coffee fix? S8 Ep 79EP79: RIP Twingo; Citroen BX 4TC; Peugeot 205 T16; Volvo C30 Electric!
EThis week’s 50to70 podcast focuses on the obscure - no surprises there. Dave has been behind the wheel of a rather unusual Volvo for a start, the C30 Electric, which was part of a trial fleet of around 250 cars used by employees and select customers. Featuring an innovative heating system, the C30 Electric remains a very interesting car 15 years later. Sticking with the unusual, Cormac lifts the lid on the Citroen BX 4TC, a short-lived and largely unsuccessful entry into the Group B World Rally Championship during the 1980s. Although 200 were produced to satisfy homologation requirements, only 86 or so were ever sold to private buyers, with the rest reportedly being repurchased and destroyed. Need a coffee fix? S8 Ep 78EP78: Volkswagen Golf Rallye; Bicester Scramble
EThe Volkswagen Golf Rallye is a homologation which was based on the Mk2 generation. While the GTI is the better-known performance Golf, the Rallye was a four-wheel-drive special that, in many ways, was the forerunner of the modern-day Golf R. Cormac takes us on a deep dive of a very special one-owner example he's been driving. We also get slightly excited about the Bicester Scramble that takes place this week. Maybe we'll see you there?
