Ep. 69 - Know Your Worth and Add Tax (w/ MasterChef Winner Courtney Lapresi)

This week we are sitting down with Master Chef winner Courtney Lapresi (@theposhtart) - a brilliant cook who also happens to have 11 years of experience in the adult entertainment industry! Courtney is an Adult Entertainer, Pole Artist and Digital Creator. She is most widely known as the Season 5 Winner of MasterChef, and author of Everyday Fancy- 65 Easy, Elegant Recipes for Meals, Snacks, Sweets, and Drinks. With over a decade of experience in the Adult Entertainment Industry and a BFA in Dance Performance from The University of the Arts, Courtney has been awarded titles such as Entertainer of the Year and Pole Champion, and has worked in clubs in Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Denver, and South Florida. We talk to Courtney about: the shame she felt in being proud of her work, stripping as “luxury sales”, why she decided to try out for MasterChef and how she crushed the competition, what it was like being outed as a SWer on national television and the backlash she received (including Twitter death threats), and how she is now coming into her own and owning her SW career proudly!
