Where Is It Hottest in Canada?

Things are tense in Edmonton, Ottawa, and Toronto. Jeff and Elliotte take the temperature of these three Canadian hockey markets. Can Edmonton correct its goaltending? Will Ottawa fire its head coach under fan pressure? Why aren't the new guys finding success in Toronto? They also touch on the Sharks abysmal season that's seen them lose back-to-back games where they've allowed 10 goals.

Show Notes

It may be November but the temperature in three Canadian hockey markets is rising by the day. Jeff and Elliotte key in on Edmonton, Ottawa, and Toronto as these three NHL teams continue to struggle out the gate. In Edmonton the scrutiny is being placed on the goaltending (03:16) and they discuss whether Jay Woodcroft should be on the hot seat (13:00). In Ottawa they're chanting "fire DJ Smith" and Brady Tkachuk did his best to distract from it (20:30). In Toronto, the criticism is placed on the new players (29:00). Why has it been so difficult for them to translate in Toronto? They also touch on the San Jose Sharks giving up 10 goals in back-to-back contests (41:10). What is the way forward for San Jose and how will ownership tolerate a season like this? They wrap the pod by talking about Jack Hughes' injury and how it may not be as bad as originally feared (1:11:24).

Jeff and Elliotte answer your questions in the Montana’s Thought Line (1:00:22).
