Her body and the gruesome crime scene were found in her apartment by her best friend/roommate on the morning of September 7, 2012. On July 26th, 2009, Diane Schuler traveled 1.7 miles (2.7 km) in the wrong direction on the Taconic State Parkway and collided head-on with an oncoming SUV.
