From ads to political rhetoric and real violence, you’ve probably noticed racism is in vogue these days so long as it's hatred and intolerance towards white people, specifically white males. This week, 1819 News CEO Bryan Dawson sits down with Jeremy Carl, a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute and author of the hit book The Unprotected Class: How Anti-White Racism is Tearing America Apart to discuss the one subject we all see but aren’t supposed to talk about. Dawson and Carl discuss the manufactured baby boom of “Native Americans” on the census due to Whites selecting Native American instead of White to gain better treatment; the deleterious effects of anti-white hiring policies on healthcare, our national security, and our military readiness; and even what really happened with white-flight. If you’re following 1819 News, you’ve heard the horror stories of pornographic books placed in the children's section of public libraries across Alabama. You’ve probably asked yourself if this is really happening, too. It is. Deviant ideologues are pushing books containing explicit writing and images that encourage children to question their gender and perform homosexual acts with one another. These people are purposefully corrupting the innocence of children. This week, we hit this disgusting travesty head-on as we sit down with the founder of Clean Up Alabama, Hannah Rees, to hear the story of how one angry momma bear made a huge difference for her community and, ultimately, the entire state. Over time Rees’ leadership attracted an incredible group of warriors and partnerships with activist organizations across the state. But it can’t be forgotten that the fight started with her deciding she wasn't going to allow this literature to remain on the shelves of the Prattville Public Library – no matter what it took. This podcast is one of the most encouraging stories of victory for conservatives in Alabama. Hannah talks about the wins, how they were accomplished, and the work that still needs to be done. When people think of missions, the images that usually come to mind are romanticized versions of what really takes place. Ministry is messy and missions even more so. Giving yourself wholly to the service of others always comes with perils. But now imagine a ministry that sees your family sacrificing for and growing close to people who end up shot or dead because of gang violence. That isn't on the flyers at the North American Missions Board, but it is a reality for those called to bring the message of Jesus Christ to inner cities. This week, missionary Bryan Kelly shares what it’s like on the front lines of urban evangelism as the founder and executive director of Common Ground, a non-profit that spearheads inner-city ministry in Montgomery. He shares the incredible work he and his family are involved in as well as some of the stories you don't usually think about when it comes to ministry. The good news is Common Ground hopes to expand its efforts. Kelly fills us in on those plans and the opportunity he sees. The Great Commission given by Jesus in the New Testament states: "All authority in Heaven and Earth has been given to me, go therefore and make disciples of all nations and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded.” Have you ever thought about what things would look like if we were successful in the Great Commission? What if this nation realized that all authority in Heaven and Earth belonged to Christ the King and we observed all that he commanded us? What would Alabama look like? Not long ago, Western civilization and America believed that the Church provided moral guidance while the State had the duty of establishing law and order which reflected those moral precepts. Some will say that to do so creates a theocracy because religious values would inform the state’s actions. What seems to be forgotten in our times is that there is no such thing as a “values-neutral” government. All laws and actions are informed by values, by a moral order. While the Left’s moral order is not rooted in a religious tradition like Christianity or Islam, it is still a moral order that they are working hard to enshrine into law, forcing it upon the people through the power of government. As uncomfortable as it may be for some Americans, we must realize that a moral order will be reflected in our federal, state, and local governments. The question is, “Which one?” This week Bryan sits down with America's most controversial pastor to discuss what it would take to re-create a Christian civilization, if the Bible calls for it, and how Christian education plays into it.
