Ben Upton and Noah Bieniek build a field of 64 from scratch, and they were joined by full-time Bracketologist, Rocco Miller, owner of Bracketeer.org and it was a lot of fun. We started with the 16 regional hosts and the auto-bids. Then we go to the at-large picture and fill out potential at-large teams from every conference. Next we have to go to the chopping block and establish the bubble teams that we don't have room for. Lastly we filled out the bracket and place teams where they need to go geographically. SEC Recap to begin the show. Arkansas sweeps Texas, A&M wins over LSU, Vandy crazy comeback, Auburn stuns Tennessee, and Mississippi State + Florida are rolling! Next is ACC recap starting off with the crazy series of FSU vs Clemson, Miami is red hot winning 10 ACC games in a row and put themselves in hosting picture. Noah then talks about his trip this weekend for Michigan St vs Oregon. He breaks down the Ducks lineup and what they will need to do in order to make a deep postseason run. That leads into BigTen recap, where Iowa still leads the conference after droppiing a series to Washington. Four of the top 5 teams in the conference are former Pac12 teams. USC beats UCLA 2/3 and feels more comfortable in their at-large picture. Big 12 is West Virginia's for the taking after Kansas gets swept by Cincinatti. The Bearcats made a statement to the Big 12, going on the road and sweeping, thrusting themselves in the at-large picture. We are back for our 7th season of covering college baseball! This is just a fun intro episode where we catch up after the ABCA Convention. Then we talk about our schedule and plan for the next 3.5 weeks before the season starts. Lastly, Jack breaks some news about a new job opportunity and we talk about the future of 11Point7.

We spend the first part of the episode talking about the hiring of our 1st ever podcast guest, Mike Earley, as the Head Coach of the Texas A&M Aggies. We talk about how he is going to continue the culture and momentum they have built and how happy the players are that he was hired. Then we briefly talk about the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team and what they are doing and how it works. Lastly we go over the best moments from the 2024 season.

The first 30 minutes of the podcast consists of recapping the Texas hiring of Jim Schlossnagle and we give our thoughts and input on the situation from both the Aggies side and the Longhorns side. Key word.... JOB SECURITY The next hour is spent on candidates for the A&M job. Is it going to be one of the 5 names that D1 Baseball listed (OConnor, Heefner, Sully, Bakich, Link), or is it going to be the mystery name that is floating around? Or could it be one of the assistant coaches that left for UT?? Ben and Jack give 10 names that would be awesome to see at A&M for entertainment purposes that also make some sense. We talk about the future of college baseball and how we are happy with the sport right now. Ben asks Jack questions about his trip and what's up next for him.
