Show Notes
Kate Chopin (Feb. 08, 1850-Aug 22, 1904) was an American classic author of short stories and novels who wrote often about Creole life in her home state of Louisiana. In this story, an older woman, facing her last days, gathers a pile of old hidden love letters, written by a man other than her husband, from her desk and, rather than burning them, leaves them for her husband to find after her death, with a request that he destroy them without reading them. That proves to be a nearly impossible task.
